Although most of the tape trees seemed to have been cut down and all the dolby-c mines have been emptied in the entire world, we managed to finally get our hands on these babies! I have to say, DAMN what a nostalgy trip! The motor of my old walkman has worn so weak that it has that genuine old skool wobbly tone and the tape head is so dirty that the sound is just as muddy as I remembered.. but luckily it has MEGA BASS!
All the preorders have now been shipped and the first ones are probably already arrived. We would like to thank you for the patience, enjoy the time warp!

PS. In case you don’t know what we’re talking about and you’re wondering wtf’s going on as c-cassette sounds like sh*t, naturally you’ll get the audiophile format version of your choice (FLAC, Apple Lossles etc.) bundled with the release too.
The final Recue’s Leftover of the Week (TM) is a feature track with lush vocals from Jolea!
Every week a new track from Recues upcoming album Leftover Love will be freely available as a download right here accompanied with a brief introduction from the man himself. You might get some tech talk about the mastering, amounts of coffee and refreshments ingested during the making, or just a simple story behind the track.
morning dew (feat. Jolea) -- The idea of Morning Dew was first introduced at a one off performance played with Jolea and Bad Loop in Vanha Ylioppilastalo, Helsinki back in 2006. Jolea wrote lyrics on my earlier track Between Stations and it was performed as the ending piece of the set. After that the vocals were lying on my hard drive for a couple of years until I found them again in 2008 when preparing for Konemetsä Open Air live set. I did the renewed version to play as a transition between my live set and Joleas. Sounded nice. The track is kind of a sappy song but I think Joleas vocals carry the build up really sweetly until the beat work in the end kicks in and pounds the track till end (especially well on a live PA).
If you’ve enjoyed the Leftovers, we have got some good news for you! There is an Extended Edition of the whole album purchaseable from the renewed Audiobaum webshop! Options from high quality lossless digital files (embedded with all the graphics and info) to retro compact cassette are available!
Dealing with ghosts is rarely an easy job to do -and so understandably finalizing ” Ghostly Figures” wasn’t the easiest task, but today Audiobaum can finally proudly present Jolea’s debut “Ghostly Figures” polished and finished.
Ghostly Figures is a lightly conceptual album. Portrayed as a panorama of feelings, those ghosts of the past are creating the layers of music that almost become tangible.
The Album begins with a bittersweet taste of dub-based longing, and it goes through a cold, melancholic idm-flavoured phase with broken textures and misty soundscapes.Jolea combines organic sounds and instruments with electronics so subtly you don’t always hear the difference. This all is coated with Jolea’s lush vocals.
The album is available as a free 192kbps mp3- download but if you want hifi, you also have the chance support the artist by purchasing the Starving Artist Limited Edition CD at the Audiobaum webshop. Cd is also available at Stupido Record Store, Helsinki (more to be added).
Audiobaum is happy to announce the release of Recue’s third album “Leftover Love”. The date of publication will be tentatively in October. Recue is also producing some sweet video material to complement the concept of the album, to get a foretaste just go to Recue’s myspace or get the teasers here.
Meanwhile, Jolea is still keeping herself busy by collaborating with Dj RX, a Finrg-artist, with a track called “Serenity”. You can preview the track and most of its remixes on the Finrg-site
Audiobaum is a fresh-faced electronic music label in Helsinki, Finland.
